Description |
The IOF Job List Menu for RUNNING JOBS has a field
titled WHY. The name of this field is REASON. This
field contains a 3 character abbreviation for WHY a running task is
SWAPPED OUT. The SWR (SWAPRSN) field on the IOF
System Monitor contains identical information. What do the
abbreviations mean?

The IOF WHY field is based on field OUCBSRC in the MVS OUCB
control block. IOF converts OUCBSRC from a number to a 3 character
abbreviation. The characters are based on comments in the OUCB
description.
An expanded version of the swap reasons can be found in IOF SOURCE data set member EASYJQE at label "REASON". Beginning with IOF release 7H, this table is:
