: I installed release 8B of IOF. We have two systems using this product. Everything
: works fine on system 2086/B26E, but we are getting errors on system 2096/453F. The
: errors follow. Another odd thing is that even though SLAMRUN isn;t running, we are
: able to get into SYSLOG. I thought SLAMRUN was required for this.

: Alod, when I issue DVAR EXPDATE, I only get the following 1 line:
: Variable display status for: expdate

: SLAMMEMO error:

: The product is not licensed to execute at this site
: SLAMMEMO 06/13/07 06:05:01 Message number 30015
:
:
: SLAMMEMO 06/13/07 06:05:01 IOF got error 30015 attempting to select the current
: IOF session. This is probably caused by insufficent
: authority. The following ALLOW macros in the B23ALLOW
: option grant authority to all users to select the
: current session:
: ALLOW 3,2,JOBS,CURRENT,'YES',ID=*
: ALLOW 3,2,GROUPS,CURRENT,'YES',ID=*

: SLAMRUN error:

: SLAMRUN Clist version: T8A
:
: The product is not licensed to execute at this site
: SLAMRUN 06/13/07 06:58:22 Error 30015
: SLAMRUN 06/13/07 06:58:22 Error
:
: SLAMRUN 06/13/07 06:58:22 The IOF license for this site has expired.
:

After discussion with the customer, this issue turned out to be a separate older copy of IOF appearing earlier in the Linklist concatenation. This copy was not R8B and did not have a valid expiration date patch for his current CPU. Hence it was receiving a License error which was not reported because of the clist environment that SLAMRUN operates in. After the third midnight from the previous IPL, IOF then started failing, which caused SLAM to fail.

Removing the other copy of IOF allowed the SLAMRUN task to use the correct R8B copy and SLAMRUN was then able to operate properly.
